Registration of Vehicles
New Jersey Statute: 39:3-4 (Registration of automobiles and motorcycles)
- All automobiles and motorcycles owned by a New Jersey resident or driven primarily in New Jersey must be registered with the Division of Motor Vehicles.
- The Division of Motor Vehicles charges a fee that varies depending upon the type of vehicle in question. The registration is good for one year and must be renewed before it expires.
