Flu Claims First New Jersey Victim The virulent Influenza strain that is running across the United States claimed it's first victim in New Jersey. State Health Officials say a 75-year-old man died last week in Middlesex County.

He suffered from chronic lung disease and doctors say that those health problems along with the flu are what contributed to his death. So far, there have been 25 confirmed cases of Influenza in New Jersey. But many cases are never reported. The Centers for Disease Control has shipped 2600 adult flu vaccines to the Garden State because of the heavy demand.
