DRPA Revises Bridge Discount Plan
Daily commuters who use E-ZPass to travel the Delaware River Port Authority's bridges will still get a discount. But the DRPA's budget, that was unveiled yesterday, eliminates E-ZPass discounts for those who don't travel between New Jersey and Pennsylvania at least 18 times a month. When the idea of eliminating all E-ZPass discounts was floated this fall, there was an outpouring of opposition. The agency agreed to the compromise to cover a projected $15 million deficit.
The DRPA operates the Ben Franklin, Walt Whitman, Betsy Ross and Commodore Barry bridges.
