Disney Busts on New Jersey

by NBC10/AP | Feb 25, 2004
Disney Busts on New Jersey A joke in a new DVD produced by Disney has some Garden Staters steamed.

It's part of an interactive game included in the "The Lion King."

When the host of the game explains the rules, a contestant interrupts and says, "I'm not from New Jersey, I got it, I got it. Let's play!"

State Travel and Tourism head Nancy Byrne called the barb silly and unfounded.

And a spokesman for Gov. James McGreevey said you wouldn't catch Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck taking a swipe at the state like that.

Disney officials weren't immediately available for comment.
