MayFest in Haddonfield

This is a great opportunity to begin planning a new garden or add to an already established one. Choose from a wide variety of herbs, both common and rare, in addition to a large selection of perennial plants. Select from one of the many unusual items available from the Green Elephant Sale such as garden tools, planters, and various decorative items for your garden. A number of home baked items and other delicious treats will also be for sale in the food pantry.
Take care of all of your gardening needs at one place and one time at the Haddonfield Garden Club’s Herb Sale on May 1. Dad can hunt for a bargain at the giant Lion’s Club Flea Market in the Archer-Greiner law firm parking lot at 1 Centennial Square. Kids will want to “Paint a Flower Pot” at Lantern Lane, behind Haddy the Haddonfield dinosaur sculpture. Haddonfield Child Care will forward donations to the HEFER International livestock lifetime charity. All artists will receive a packet of flower seeds for their pot from the Haddonfield Business & Professional Association. Everyone will enjoy the outdoor merchant displays of new spring home and garden items available in their favorite Haddonfield shops. Haddonfield restaurants and gourmet food purveyors offer a “Taste of Haddonfield” and dining as you stroll is the order of the day. A Home and Garden Marketplace will fill Tanner Street just off Kings Highway. Crafters, home improvement booths, flats of annual flowers presented by the Junior Woman’s Club of the Haddon Fortnightly, organic and fresh produce, perennial shrubs and a “backyard” play extravaganza for the children will mingle along the street. Live music, face painting, balloon artistry and other delights will round out a perfect celebration of spring, home and garden. If you take a trip to the Haddonfield MayFest you can bring a touch of spring back to your home and garden!
