Teen Dies in Crash A car loaded with teenagers was involved in a deadly accident this holiday weekend and one of them didn't make it.

The accident happened early Monday morning in Upper Pittsgrove Township, N.J., in Salem County.

Police said Andrew Cannon, 17, was driving a black Mitsubishi Eclipse just after midnight Monday. Police said that Cannon lost control of the car and hit a pole at the intersection of County Route 671 and U.S. 40.

Passenger Kevin Watkins (pictured, left), 16, was transported to the Elmer Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Cannon and Kyle Koskey, 18, were airlifted to Cooper Medical Center. Cannon was treated and released. Koskey, 18, is in critical condition.

Police are investigating whether charges will be filed against the teenage driver and whether alcohol or speed played a factor in the accident.
