Soldier`s Mom Threatens President

by NBC10/AP | Sep 23, 2004
Soldier`s Mom Threatens President Secret Service agents are reviewing comments made by a Hopewell Township woman whose son was killed in the war in Iraq.

Sue Niederer was quoted in two online interviews in May and this month as saying she wanted to shoot the president.

Niederer tells The Times of Trenton she was "angry, frustrated and upset" about her son's death when she gave both interviews. But she insists she does not want to shoot or kill Bush.

Niederer was arrested last week in Hamilton when she interrupted a campaign speech by first lady Laura Bush to ask why her son was killed in Iraq.

Her son, Army Lieutenant Seth Dvorin, was killed while trying to disarm a bomb in Iraq in February.

Police dismissed the trespass charge.
