Officer Fatally Shoots Man in Camden

A man allegedly wielding a knife was shot and killed by a Camden police officer early Sunday morning, NBC 10 News reported.

The shooting took place just after 5 a.m. in the 1100 block of Louis Avenue in Camden.

Authorities were responding to a domestic dispute call when the man allegedly approached an officer with a knife, NBC 10 News reported.

Police apparently shot the man in the chest. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he died.

An investigation is now under way.
