Mother Killed in Camden

by NBC10/AP | May 23, 2005
Mother Killed in Camden Police say a stray bullet killed a 26-year-old woman as she drove with her young children in a car on Sunday.

Nadira Hinson, a mother of three, was driving down 5th and Line streets when she was shot by crossfire.

Investigators think the shooter was trying to target a person on 5th Street, but not Hinson.

"She was a good mother. A provider. She did everything she can for them. She always took her kids wherever she went," said Stephanie Dixon, a friend of Hinson.

Officials said the victim was killed instantly.

Hinson's three sons, who were in the car, were not injured.

Police did not have anyone in custody as of late Sunday.
