Rutgers Students Reach Out

by Press Release-Rutgers-Camden | Sep 2, 2005
Rutgers Students Reach Out Beginning Friday, Sept. 2, students at Rutgers University-Camden will begin selling bracelets as a show of support for victims of Hurricane Katrina and as a way to raise funds for those affected by the storm.

The green-colored bands inscribed with "Rutgers Cares" are reminiscent of the yellow plastic "Livestrong" bracelets made famous by Lance Armstrong.

The Rutgers Cares bracelets cost $5 and will be available for purchase at the IMPACT Booth in the Campus Center, located on Third Street, between Cooper Street and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge on the Rutgers-Camden campus.

All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross and other established agencies that are supporting the recovery mission in the Gulf Coast.

For more information, call the IMPACT Booth at (856) 225-6161.
