Said Achey “The selection process was difficult, as we had a stellar pool of applicants whom we interviewed, including internal candidates. With the number of qualified candidates, it was a hard choice. However, Steve’s experience with Medford, starting as a Patrol Officer and culminating as the Chief of Police/Director of Public Safety, made him pre-eminently qualified to hold this newly created position. During Steve’s successful tenure with the Medford Police Department, he was instrumental in the employment of full-time career firefighters, enhanced community policing programs, and communications equipment upgrades to the dispatch center. While with Medford, he pursued his position with energy and diligence, and his detailed knowledge of Medford’s Public Safety operations will ensure a smooth and successful transition into this new position."
Addezio currently serves as Assistant to the Vice-President of Administrative Services/Director of Public Safety for Camden County College, with responsibility for three campuses. He resides in Marlton with his wife and children.
