Taste of Medford

by Press Release | Aug 6, 2006
Taste of Medford The second annual Taste of Medford will celebrate the bounty of the Garden State at an outdoor food festival on September 16, from noon to 3:00 pm. More than a dozen Medford-area restaurants will present their signature dishes, with chefs and caterers from gourmet to delicatessen on hand to discuss their menu items. Local businesses will also showcase their wares.

The all-you-can-eat event, presented by Cornerstone Bank, Murphy’s Markets and Freedman-Cohen Development, will provide fun for the whole family with music, games and rides. Live bands, headlined by Medford Station, will keep people stepping to bluegrass, jazz and contemporary tunes throughout the afternoon. Hayrides from Johnson’s Corner Farm and horse-drawn wagon rides by Uptown Pleasure Carriages will delight children, while Jersey Jerry’s Amazing Apple Paring demonstration will wow adults.

Keepsake wristbands that serve as admission tickets can be purchased in advance at the Medford Recreation Department in Cranberry Hall (behind the Township office building at 17 North Main Street). The cost is $12.50 for adults and $5 for children 3-12. Toddlers and infants are free. At the door the cost will be $15 for adults and $5 for children. Freedom Park is located at Jones Road and Old Marlton Pike, one block off Route 70 in Medford. The rain date for the event is Sunday, September 17.
