Vegas Hag`s Pigskin Pics

Vegas Hag`s Pigskin Pics Hey, how about those Eagles? I haven`t seen that kind of domination since Rich Kotite was here. Of course, it was the Eagles getting dominated then. Can the Birds knock off the Skins? Will they move into sole possession of first place? Read on for this week`s answers…

Bills (+2) at Miami

Two great defenses two offensive offenses. This will be a close, low scoring, battle of the trenches. As much as I like the Dolphins at home, the Bills just need this one too bad. I have to go with the Bills in this one. Can you say PARITY?

Packers (+3) at Lions

The Pack and Brett Favre are starting to look better. The Lions, for whatever reason, are super tough at the Silverdome. This should be another great game with the Pack putting up an aerial show and the Lions trying to pound it up the middle. I`ll go with the Lions to win but not cover based on the injuries the Packers just can`t seem to shake.

Colts (-3 ½) at Patriots

The Pats showed people they aren`t as bad as most thought last week in Denver. The Colts continue to show everyone they`re the real deal here.

Colts by 10

Saints (+5 ½) at Bears

Yuk! Who wants to watch this dreck? At least they both suck – it should make for a close game. Da Bears sneak by at home, but don`t cover.

Bears by 3

Steelers (+8) at Jets

The Steelers finally looked good last week as Slash returned to QB and Bill (please fire me, I`m an idiot) Cowher says Kent Graham will start if he`s healthy. That`s all I needed to hear. J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets… By 14.

Jets by 14

Titans (-9 ½) at Bengals

The Bengals looked pretty good for about 27 minutes last week against the Dolphins and then the spark from the coaching change wore off. It was nice to see that some things never change as the Bungles stunk up the joint in the second half. Eddie George should maul this defense for 200 yards and 2 scores.

Titans by 17

Giants (even) at Falcons

Both of these teams should be motivated after the shellacking they took last week. As much as I hate the Giants, I have seen the Falcons and it ain`t pretty! Chris Chandler will be running for his life again and the Giants should be able to score some points.

Raiders (-4 ½) at 49ers

Reality check for the Niners – you aren`t that good! The Raiders will put on a show in this battle of the Bay area. If Terrell Owens scores and runs the ball to midfield, do you think Al Davis will tolerate it if one of the Raiders doesn`t end his season? John Gruden at 4-1?

Raiders by 7

Brownies (+4 ½) at Cardinals

Neither of these teams is very good, but neither is awful, either. With Tim Couch banged up, I like Jake the Snake to actually win a game.

Cards by 6

Broncos (-6 ½) at Chargers

Jim Harbaugh could make this a better game than it looks to be. Unfortunately he will be playing catch up all day. Who exactly is the running back for the Chargers? Exactly.

Broncos by 10

Seahawks (+3 ½) at Panthers

Damon Huard is the new QB for the Hawks. Yeah, right. Paul Holmgren is probably wishing he had stayed in Green Bay by now.

Panthers by 7

Ravens (+2 ½) at Jaguars

What is the deal with the Jags? Are they the softest “good” team out there, or what? The Ravens are the better team right now, but the Jags have to have this game. At home, I`ll take Jacksonville in a squeeker.

Jaguars by 3

Redskins (-3) at Eagles

As much as I want to pick the Eagles here, I think we are still in for some more ups and downs from this team. The Skins have a hard time at the Vet, so this should be a close game, but I don`` think the Birds are quite there yet. Later in the season, maybe. Andy Reid should be hitting the all you can eat joints hard after this one.

Redskins by 7

Monday Night Football Bucanners (+1) at Vikings

This should be a good game, again, for the MNF crew. I can`t see the Bucs going down 3 straight and I can`t see the Vikes at 5-0. Look for a dominating defensive effort from the Bucs and Sapp. Dante won`t know what hit him.

Bucs by 6

Records:

Last week: 7-7 against the spread; 7-7 straight up. Season to date: 40-31-1 against the spread; 43-29 straight up.
