Improve Your Balance & Mind, for Seniors Burlington County Freeholders will offer a free program to county seniors on avoiding falls and improving memory on Monday, November 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Human Services Building on Woodlane Road in Westampton.

“We want to help seniors learn about new concepts related to memory loss and how to maintain balance and prevent falls, which are a leading cause of injury among individuals 65 and older,” said Freeholder Director Aubrey Fenton, who oversees the Office on Aging.

“Improve Your Balance and Your Mind,” will be presented by Gregory Busch, DO, Medical Director of Virtua Berlin Hospital, and staff from the Hospital’s Physical Therapy Department.

Attendees should register in advance by calling the Office on Aging at (609) 265-5069. Virtua Health and Virtua Health Foundation are partnering with the County to provide speakers and exhibits, continental breakfast and box lunches.

Exhibitors and healthcare professionals will be present to address other healthcare issues, including osteoporosis, cardiac care and senior wellness. Bone density screenings will be provided from 9:30 to 10 a.m. and during lunch.
