Temple Gets Big OT Win Temple goes into next week`s Atlantic 10 tournament in Philadelphia as the No. 3 seed, thanks to St. Bonaventure`s win over Massachusetts Saturday. George Washington will be the No. 7 seed.

Greer made eight of 10 free throws in the extra period for Temple (18-12, 12-4) and made a clutch jumper with 45 seconds left. The junior guard made 14 of 16 free throws overall and led the Owls with six assists.

Temple used a six-point run to take an 87-81 lead with 36.1 seconds left in the overtime. Greer made two free throws plus the jumper followed by Kevin Lyde`s two free throws, and that was too much for George Washington (12-17, 6-10).

Lyde added 18 points while Quincy Wadley scored 16 for Temple. Jaason Smith came off the bench to score a season-high 19 for the Colonials. Chris Monroe added 18 while Greg Collucci made five three-pointers for a career-high 15 points.

Mike King had a career-high nine assists for George Washington in his final career game at the Smith Center. SirValiant Brown was sidelined by a sprained toe when the two teams last met in February, one reason that Temple routed the Colonials, 91-58. But Brown added 12 points in this game.

George Washington wasted a chance to win it in regulation. Temple held a 75-74 lead when the Colonials` Attila Cosby was fouled with 2.2 seconds left, but he made just one of two free throws, which forced the overtime.
