Phillies Keep Rolling Over Padres

Held out of the starting lineup because he was hitting just .111, Henderson worked the count full, fouled off a pitch and then walked on a 90 mph fastball from reliever Chris Brock.
Standing on first, Henderson took off his helmet and pointed toward the stands.
But Henderson was left standing there and the Padres lost for the eighth time in nine games after allowing season-highs in runs and hits (17).
With each regular getting at least one hit, the NL East-leading Phillies won their fifth straight and had season-highs in runs and hits.
Randy Wolf (1-3) struck out a season-high nine and made it into the sixth inning for the first time in four starts, although he blew a 5-0 first-inning lead.
Abreu`s leadoff homer in the fifth broke a 6-6 tie and chased Woody Williams (1-3). Abreu added an RBI double in the four-run seventh and finished 3-for-4 with a walk.
Marlon Anderson had a two-run homer in the seventh and finished with three RBIs. Travis Lee also was 3-for-4, with two RBIs and three runs.
Reliever Wayne Gomes had his first hit in six career at-bats, an RBI single in the ninth.
The Phillies had seven hits off Williams in the first inning, including six straight with one out. Abreu hit a two-run double, Mike Lieberthal an RBI double and Lee and Anderson had RBI singles.
But Wolf gradually let the Padres back in, and they tied it at 5 on Mike Colangelo`s two-run triple with two outs in the fourth. The ball skipped past right fielder Abreu and rolled under a bench in the Phillies` bullpen. Colangelo was thrown out trying to stretch it into an inside-the-park homer.
Phil Nevin went 3-for-4 with a homer, two RBIs and two runs scored. He leads the Padres with four homers.
Wolf allowed six runs, five earned, on six hits in 5 1-3 innings. He walked two. Williams allowed seven runs, six earned, on 11 hits in four innings. He has given up at least 11 hits in three of five starts.
Notes:
The 42-year-old Henderson, considered the greatest leadoff hitter in history, signed a minor league contract with the Padres with two weeks left in spring training and was called up on April 17, beginning his 23rd big league season. He needs 67 runs to break Ty Cobb`s record of 2,245, and 84 hits to become the 25th player in baseball history to reach 3,000. ... Lee was recalled from Triple-A Portland before the game. He replaces LHP Kevin Walker, who was put on the 15-day disabled list with tendinitis in his left forearm.
