(New Haven, CT)- Alex Eckelman hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the 9th Inning to give the New Haven Ravens a 5-4 win over Trenton on Sunday afternoon.

The homer came off Cory Spencer, who suffered two of the three losses on the weekend. Trenton has now lost four straight games and is 6 1/2 games behind Norwich for 2nd Place and the automatic playoff spot.

With one out, Andy Bevins drew a four-pitch walk. Juan Munoz followed with a single to left. Eckelman followed by taking a 2-2 pitch over the left field fence. It was his 2nd homer of the series.

Trenton (54-51) grabbed a 4-0 lead thanks to a two-run double by Angel Santos in the 2nd Inning and a two-run homer by Kelly Ramos in the 4th Inning.

New Haven (37-69) got solo homers from Troy Farnsworth and Bevins to cut the deficit to 4-2 before their 9th Inning rally.

Trenton starter Greg Montalbano allowed two runs in six innings today, but got a no-decision.

The Thunder return home to start a three-game series with Binghamton on Monday at 7:05 PM. Josh Hanock (7-3) is scheduled to come off the Disabled List and make the start.
