(Trenton)- Norwich spoiled the Thunder Home Finale for 2001 with a 6-2 win, but 7,383 fans watched the game to bring the season attendance to over 411,000. It was the 19th sellout of the year for Trenton.
Norwich (74-55) broke a 1-1 tie in the 4th Inning. Paul Ottavinia tripled with one out and scored on an error when the relay throw went into Norwich`s dugout. Scott Seabol added a solo homer in the 5th Inning to make it 3-1 Navigators.
Angel Santos homered in the 8th Inning to make it a 3-2 game. He homered twice on the night, once from each side of the plate and became the first Thunder player to accomplish that feat twice in a season. The only other Thunder player to do it once was Morgan Burkhart in 1999.
