PATCO Accident Shuts Down Service CAMDEN, NJ: October 4, 2001 — A tragic accident caused the shutdown of PATCO service into Philadelphia Thursday morning.

Action News has learned that a PATCO worker was struck and killed on the line by a train just after 5:00 a.m. The accident happened on the elevated lines at Mount Ephrain and Chestnut Streets in Camden.

The victim was with a crew working on wiring along the tracks.
