London Calling South Jersey

London Calling South Jersey Joe Strummer was the driving force behind one of England’s most revered punk exports, The Clash. During the late 70’s and early 80’s, Strummer banged out such hard driving hits as “Rock The Kasbah”, “London Calling”, and “Radio Clash”. This weekend, Strummer and the Megcaleros bring a much different sound to the Grand Cayman room at Trump Marina in Atlantic City, for one show on Saturday night.

Supporting this summer’s album release, “Global A Go-Go”, Strummer has described his newest sound as an investigation of the rhythms of the world. More Rockabilly than Punk, the audience can expect a diverse collection of upbeat acoustic guitars, with a grooving bass and percussion background. It remains unclear whether Strummer will reach into his vast library of songs from his days in bands like The Clash, and Big Audio Dynamite. However; music fans are sure to be treated to a taste of one of Rock’s most legendary front men.
