Arrest Made in NJ Abduction SPRING LAKE, NEW JERSEY - A suspect has been arrested in last week's kidnapping of a six-year-old New Jersey girl. Authorities in Monmouth County say Barry Sherman, a self-employed photographer, was taken into custody yesterday at a hospital. They say he'd tried to take his own life with a drug overdose. Authorities say Sherman was arrested without incident. He remains hospitalized under guard.

Six-year-old Anna Cardelfe was playing in the front yard of her Spring Lake home last Thursday when she was lured into a car. Security officials at a shopping mall found her unharmed the next day.

The kidnapper called police twice on Thursday to demand 175-thousand dollars in ransom, but never received any money.

Anna's family had recently moved from New York following the September eleventh terrorist attacks that destroyed the World Trade Center.
