Trenton to Be Hollywood of the East? In a bid to turn Trenton into the Hollywood of the East, a state legislator has invited a number of actors to tour Mercer County. They will eat in a Hamilton restaurant, sign autographs and tout movie- and television-friendly legislation sponsored by state Sen. Peter Inverso, R-Mercer.

Manex Entertainment, a special effects company, has proposed building a studio on a property near the Sovereign Bank Arena. Inverso's goal is to lure film shoots and distribution and other production companies to Trenton through tax breaks and other incentives.

The invited stars are expected to tout the legislation at a Statehouse news conference on Thursday after lunching at Massimo's Restaurant in Hamilton.

Those in attendance included: William Baldwin, Valerie Harper, and Vincent Pastore and Al Sapienza of "The Sopranos," The Trentonian newspaper reported Monday. Trenton native Leo Rossi, who appeared in the movie "Analyze This", is also expected to participate.
