Priests from DE and NJ Face Sex Charges In Delaware, a Catholic priest has been relieved of his duties amidst allegations of sexual abuse. 63-year-old Reverend William Irwin was a priest at Saint Mary Magdalen parish in Brandywine Hundred.

Church officials say Irwin contacted them and the police after he received an anonymous call accusing him of sexually abusing a child years ago.

He was removed from the parish while officials investigate. In Florid, the Palm Beach Diocese has revoked a retired priest's permission to celebrate mass and perform sacraments after hearing of past accusation of sexual misconduct.

Monsignor Philip Rigney is named in a New Jersey lawsuit filed by a family suing the Roman Catholic Diocese of Camden, New Jersey over alleged sexual abuse that occurred almost 20 years ago.

Officials said they didn't learn of the allegations against Rigney until Friday.
