Flood Watch!

by 6 ABC-AP | Jun 6, 2002
Flood Watch! Most of the Delaware Valley is now under a flood watch.

The National Weather Service issued the advisory this morning and it remains in effect until late tonight.

Forecasters say a cold front will make its way across the mid-Atlantic area today before stalling to the south. A low pressure system will then track toward New Jersey, bringing with it the potential for heavy rains this evening.

Hourly rainfall rates could reach one to two inches in some areas, and the total rainfall could be as much as four inches.

The watch means flooding could occur at small streams, creeks and other drainage areas.
