Trenton Takes Firefighters to Court

Trenton Takes Firefighters to Court The city of Trenton is going to court today, to stop what it says are illegal and potentially dangerous job actions being staged by the city's firefighters.

Officials say sick-outs and other job actions began shortly after Trenton shut down three firehouses on June 21st.

Mayor Doug Palmer says the actions by the firefighters have made him sick to his stomach. The city wants a judge today to order the firefighters to cease and desist. The head of the firefighters union denies that there's an organized sick-out, or that members are warning suburban firefighters to stay out of the city.
