Cooler Saves Man`s Life Atlantic City, New Jersey August 14, 2002 — Good thing a New Jersey man brought along some cold beverages when he went out on his fishing boat Monday.

Warren Steiner's boat sank in the Atlantic Ocean -- taking his cell phone and life jacket with it.

Steiner survived for 19 hours by clinging to a cooler.

A passing boater spotted him late yesterday afternoon.

A Coast Guard spokesman said Steiner was in good condition at a hospital yesterday.
