Talley 1998

by Richard Nalley | May 30, 2000
PICK OF THE WEEK:

Talley 1998 Chardonnay, Estate, Paso Robles ($22) - This label is the winemaking operation of a huge farming concern outside the cowboy town of Arroyo Grande. It turns out some of California`s most appealing chardonnays, wines that are, even at this price, notable bargains. This beauty is a rich, mouth-filling wine, but one with a bright, racy, minerally feel to it that makes it a superb and flexible wine to enjoy at the table.
