`PigFoot` Mystery Solved!

by NBC10/AP | Dec 15, 2002
`PigFoot` Mystery Solved! The "Pig Foot" mystery has been solved. The hog that had been running loose for weeks has been nabbed.

The pig had been haunting early-morning dog walkers and making a mess of gardens in Cumberland County.

The Bait Box marina restaurant in Greenwich Township has welcomed the pig to the property.

But "Pork Chop" -- as they're calling him -- will not be the menu.

Owner Scott Gifford spotted him Thursday night. He and workers made a hog leash out of a noose and slipped it around the porker's neck.

"Pork Chop" will likely end up at the Bridgeton Zoo or as mascot of the restaurant if the owner can't be found.
