Beloved Nun Killed A Camden County traffic accident has taken the life of a beloved nun who devoted many years working to help the needy in south Jersey.

Sister Peggy Hines was killed Friday night in Cherry Hill when the driver of a Lincoln crossed into oncoming traffic and hit the car in which Hines was riding.

Hines ran the Heart of Camden Mission, which recruited community volunteers to help rehab old homes in Camden, and sell them at a discount to low-income families.

Hines, 69, loved her religion, sports and Irish dancing.

She will be laid to rest on Friday.
