Teen Loses Hand in Explosion A 16-year-old girl was seriously hurt Tuesday when a South Jersey home exploded in flames.

It happened around 11 a.m. in Millville, N.J., at the intersection of D and Wheaton streets.

Investigators said that the unidentified victim was inside a house playing video games with her boyfriend. She lived in the house with her boyfriend's family, police said.

An explosion that sparked a two-alarm fire rocked the house. Police said that the girl's hand was blown off.

She was flown to Cooper Hospital, and there is no word yet on her condition.

Firefighters said that they still aren't sure what caused the blast. Seven people are now homeless as a result of the explosion.
