Fatal Shooting in Camden

by NBC10/AP | Mar 10, 2003
Fatal Shooting in Camden Two people were killed and another wounded in a shooting Monday morning at a home in the city's East Camden neighborhood, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said.

The wounded person was taken to a hospital, said prosecutor's office spokesman Bill Shralow, but he had no further information.

The shootings occurred at a two-story twin home.

The shooting victims were discovered by police, who were responding with firefighters to a report of a fire in the basement shortly after 8 a.m. The fire was brought under control in less than 10 minutes.

The owner of the house, Lan Ha, said a couple in their early 30s had moved in with her about three months ago. It was not immediately known if they were involved in the shooting.

Ha said she left for work around 7 a.m., and a neighbor called her a short time later to tell her there was a problem at the house.

Investigators were interviewing neighbors and seeking possible witnesses.
