Another Stabbing in Wildwood

A weekend stabbing in Wildwood has renewed residents' concerns after previous problems there.

A 22-year-old man is hospitalized after being slashed in the chest and torso at Juniper and Atlantic avenues.

The stabbing happened in the same area as last month's big brawl where three Delaware County teenagers were stabbed. Three suspects were arrested.

People who live in the area said they are tired of all the trouble there. "The young people are ready to fight at a moment's notice, and it's not easy to deal with people that are drinking and on drugs and out of control," said Kathy Distrol, a Wildwood resident.

"They've been working very hard, the city, the police officers, everybody, to make this a family resort town again," said Caroline Gliwa, of Wildwood.

Police said they know who they're looking for in this weekend's stabbing, but they haven't caught him yet.
