Teen Dies in Jet Ski Accident

A teenager was killed in a deadly Jet Ski accident Monday in Wildwood.

The accident took place around 1:30pm in Ottens Harbor, off Route 46. State police said the 14-year old boy was a passenger on the Jet Ski. The vehicle was hit by another personal watercraft.

The unidentified teenager was rushed to Burdett-Tomlin Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead, investigators said.

Witnesses said the boy's sister and two friends brought him to shore and called for help.

Lloyd Hayes owns the marina where the boy's body was taken. "The sister was here and she saw her brother and he wasn't in good shape," Hayes said.
