Babcock 1999 Pinot Grigio

by Richard Nalley | Jun 14, 2000
PICK OF THE WEEK:

Babcock 1999 Pinot Grigio, Santa Barbara County ($14) - California`s pinot grigios, including this one, often have the richer, silkier texture of French pinot gris (made from the same grape). This beauty also has a fine, lean edge to it from its cool-climate vineyard site, and a pleasing lick of berry-like spiciness.
