Cooper Gets New Director

Cooper Gets New Director Cooper University Hospital welcomes Thomas F. Parsons, R.N., CCRC, as Director of the Cooper Research Institute.

Parsons most recently was the Research Manager, Research Department, Office of the Dean at Drexel University, College of Medicine, in Philadelphia. He spent five years as a staff nurse in the OR at Medical College Hospital and ten years in the U.S. Army, six of those years serving as a Combat Medical Aid.

Parsons is responsible for the operations of the newly formed Cooper Research Institute. He brings to the position experience with many areas of research including budget design, conduct of clinical trials, protocol development and continuing medical education sessions.

Parsons received his undergraduate degree from Concordia College and University. He is also a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator and is currently pursuing his Masters degree in Healthcare Administration. Tom resides in Chalfont, PA with his wife and two daughters.
