Stripper Mom Leaves Child Alone

Police said Ann McGuire, 19, worked at the Playhouse in Burlington City. She allegedly left her 5-year-old daughter home alone on numerous occasions with prepared foods and snacks.
McGuire was arrested on Thursday, after neighbors saw the little girl wandering through the streets of her condominium complex.
Officers went to McGuire's condo unit and found the girl inside alone. Police said McGuire arrived home while they were there.
"The mother stated that she was out grocery shopping, ... (but) we found no groceries inside the vehicle," said Officer Doug Slemmer.
McGuire was taken into custody and charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Authorities said that after questioning, she allegedly admitted to leaving the girl home alone between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. on at least four occasions in the past month so she could dance.
Police said McGuire's landlord helped bail her out of jail following her arrest.
No one answered her door on Monday, NBC 10 reported, and her lawyer had no comment.
The manager of the Playhouse said the club expects its dancers to have proper supervision of their kids before they come to work.
Police said they have not been able to figure out who the girl's father is. She is now in the custody of the Bucks County social services officials.
