4D Theatre At Aquarium

Adventure Aquarium, which opened on the Camden, NJ Waterfront on May 25th, launched another immersive and unique attraction for guests - the brand new Adventure Aquarium 4D Theatre, presented by PSE&G. Adventure Aquarium is the first Aquarium to feature a 4D theatre and is the first 4D attraction to launch the much anticipated adventure, Deep Sea – 4D, a 3D film with 4D special effects produced by SimEx-Iwerks. The Adventure Aquarium 4D Theatre, which seats 160 guests, will feature a new 4D movie each year. The cost is $3 per guest and shows run daily every 20 minutes, starting at 10am. Riders must be at least 36” tall.

In production for two years, Deep Sea-4D takes visitors aboard a submarine in search of two great monsters of the deep ocean, the Giant Squid and the Sperm Whale, two kilometers beneath the ocean surface. Deep Sea-4D puts you in the action with stunning digital 3D and the very latest in 4D special effects technology. Fully loaded with special effects and digital surround sound, the interactive 4D special FX seats engage the audience by simulating the motion experienced with such a deep sea adventure to create an extraordinary 4D experience. The attraction also includes effects such as air blasts, water squirts and leg ticklers synchronized with the on-screen action. Guests will be completely immersed in this unique and entertaining 3D animated film providing riders with high thrills adventure.

Open from 9:30am–5pm daily, Adventure Aquarium features nearly 200,000 square feet of sea life and wildlife. Visitors will be in for an ADVENTURE as they visit the West African River Experience featuring hippopotamuses, crocodiles, porcupines and over 20 species of African birds in a free-flight aviary; surround themselves with sharks in a suspended 40-foot walk-through tunnel; explore the wonders of the deep sea in the Jules Verne Gallery; and even have an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to “Swim with the Sharks.” Like its sister aquarium, Newport Aquarium, located at Newport on the Levee in Newport, KY, Adventure Aquarium is an accredited member of the American Zoological and Aquarium Association.
