Vegas Hags` Pigskin Pics Week 5

What does the crystal ball say for this week…
Colts (+1 ½) at Bills
The Colts looked great on Monday Night, but this is the NFL, where a team looks like Super Bowl champs one week and gets its butt kicked the next. I don`t really think the Colts will get their butts kicked this week, but the Bills are for real, too. Short week for the Colts, Bills at home = Bills by a field goal.

Cowboys (+6) at Panthers
This should be sweet. First, the 49ers blow out the Cowgirls in their own house. This week, it`s long time 49er coach and Dallas nemesis George Seifert who gets to embarrass the Pokes.
Panthers by 10
Ravens (-8 ½) at Browns
The Browns are decent and have a lot of motivation here at home against Art Modell`s ex-Browns. Unfortunately, talent beats out emotion most times and I think the Brownies get baked here. Look for Couch to throw 50 times and not look very good doing it. Also, look for lots of Art Modell dummies hanging in effigy. Will Modell have the ----- to show up for the game?
Ravens by 10
Dolphins (-7) at Bengals
Looks like Bruce Coslet lost those pictures of Mike Brown with farm animals. Coslet or no Coslet, this team sucks! The Dolphins should win easily if their inept O can put up a field goal or two.

Vikings (+1) at Lions
This should be a good game. The Vikes come in well rested off their bye, but the Lions are always tough at home. I think the Lions will again struggle to put up points and the Vikings have too many big playmakers for the Lions to keep up with.
Vikings by 3
Giants (+5) at Titans
The Giants looked mortal last week against the `Skins (reality check). The Titans can`t seem to find a rhythm. 5 points are a lot to lay here, but you have to like the Titans at home. I also want to see the Giants fall to earth very badly. Can you say 3-2, Giants fans? Apologies to my wife and all of my Muhlenberg Alumni friends who are Giants fans (NOT), but the Eagles and Giants will be tied after Sunday.
Titans by 8
Steelers (+10) at Jaguars
Jags are out for blood after being crushed on national TV Monday Night. The Steelers are not good. Kent Graham? Get serious!
Jags by 13
Patriots (+8 ½) at Broncos
Griese and Davis are back this week. The Patriots have no offensive line. You do the math.
Broncos by 11
Chargers (+17) at Rams
17 points are a lot, but man, the Chargers offense is putrid. Jim Harbaugh is a pro and may bring some respectability to the team this week, but this would be a good time for the Rams D to show back up. The Rams will continue to light it up and the Chargers can not keep pace.
Rams by 20
Buccaneers (+1 ½) at Redskins
This should be the game of the week. The `Skins looked pretty good last week and the Bucs blew a game they absolutely should have won. I don`t think Brad Johnson and his band of Eagle wanna be receivers can move the ball on the Bucs D. That little dose of humility from the Jets will go a long way in motivating the Bucs this week. Look for Jeff George in the second half.
Bucs by 7
Cardinals (+3 ½) at 49ers
I used to like Terrell Owens – what an idiot. As much as I hate the Cowboys, I hate showboats on bad teams more. Wow, Terrell, you scored 2 touchdowns on the Little Sisters of the Poor. Way to go! Moron. Now your team doesn`t have its best player for a game it could have won.

Bears (+5 ½) at Packers
Remember when the Bears were pre-season sweethearts of analysts calling them this year`s surprise team? Yeah, I`m surprised they stink this much, too. The Pack is starting to put it together as everyone gets healthy. Da Bears are Da worst.
Packers by 10
Falcons (+3) at Eagles
Today`s pop quiz: Which Eagles team will show up this week for the Falcons game? The one that looks like they have a clue out there or the one that bores us to sleep? Get used to it as the Birds will have an up and down learning season. This game scares me, but I think the Eagles will look to make amends to their fans for the home opener debacle against the Giants. As long as Andy Reid doesn`t spontaneously combust on the sidelines, I`ll take the Eagles in a close one.
Eagles by 5
Seahawks (+4) at Chiefs
These two teams are petty evenly matched. The Chiefs have a chance to be a good team if they can settle on a running back. Morris and Gonzalez make good targets for Elvis and the Chiefs D is pretty tough. At home, I have to go with the Chiefs here, but Dennis and the Boys in the booth should get a decent game to call.
Chiefs by 6
Records:
Last week: 11-3 against the spread; 9-5 straight up. Season to date: 33-24-1 against the spread; 36-22 straight up.
