Smithville Mansion Tours Available

Tea and Tours are scheduled the last Wednesday for the month May thru October. Home made sandwiches, cakes, cookies as well as hot and cold beverage are served. Following the tea, a tour of the Mansion is offered for $15. Seating is limited. Tea time is High Noon. Call 609-261-0472 for reservations.
Village tours are conducted in cooperation with the H.B. Smith Industrial Conservancy. The village is available for self guided tours daily. For historic interpretation, call 609-265-5068 for details and time.
The village of Smithville, originally known as Shreveville, nestled along the banks of the Rancocas Creek, became a mecca for industrial engineers and entrepreneurs during the industrial revolution. Under the guidance of H.B. Smith, the village became world renowned for its production of woodworking machinery, the “Star” Bicycle and the Bicycle Railroad.
