Mother Nature Wins Again At Bridgeport Speedway Bridgeport, NJ – For the second week in a row, Bridgeport Speedway owner-promoter Bill Lincoln has been forced to cancel Saturday night`s racing action due to inclimate weather at the South Jersey oval.

“We had some heavy late morning showers at the track, and these rains combined with the forecast of severe weather in the area for the afternoon and evening made us cancel our big show for Saturday night.

We haven`t had the URC sprinters at the track since April, and our fans always enjoy their high speed action along with our regular show of modifieds, sportsman, and street stocks.

Now, we`ll have to wait until July 14th when the traveling winged sprinters come back to our track,” said Lincoln after announcing the cancellation of the night`s events.

Coming up next weekend at the track will be two nights of action on the big 5/8th mile speedway, when the Enduro stocks will run on Friday night, along with the regular show of three divisions of Micro Sprints and the popular Modified Lites on the ¼ mile Little Bridgeport Speedway.

Then on Saturday night, the regular four division show will be presented, starting at six o`clock, with the big block Modifieds, Bridgeport Sportsman, Bridgeport Winged Sprinters, and Street Stocks all competing in qualifying races leading up to their main events. Information on events at Bridgeport Speedway may be obtained by calling the track office at 856-467-4408 during regular business hours, or on the internet at Bridgeport Speedway.
