The All-South Jersey Boys’ Soccer Team
The South Jersey Soccer Coaches Association recently had their All-South Jersey banquet, honoring players on the first, second and third-team All-South Jersey squads. Here is a look at the boys teams. (Next week we will have the girls’ squads).

FIRST-TEAM

Forwards: Ayden Anderson, Washington Township; Mike Coluzzi St. Augustine, Adinfolfi Cooper, Shawnee, Elijah Font, Northern Burlington, Kenny Cockerill, Deptford.

Forward of the Year: Washington Township senior Ayden Anderson was the Forward of the Year. He had the game-winning goal in Washington Township’s 1-0 overtime win over St. Augustine in the South Jersey Soccer Coaches Tournament championship. Anderson finished the season with 24 goals and eight assists. He scored at least one goal in three of Washington Township’s four Coaches Tournament games and in all three SJ Group 4 contests.

Midfielders: Sean Tarsatana, Washington Township; Lucas Cross, Egg Harbor Township; Jason Pacetti, Cinnaminson; Cruz Candray, Cherry Hill East; Everett Hosszu-Barrett, Bordentown.

Midfielder of the Year: Washington Township senior Sean Tarsatana was named the Midfielder of the Year. He had 31 goals and 23 assists this season for the Minutemen. Tarsatana had the assist in Washington Township’s overtime win over St. Augustine in the Coaches Tournament championship and he scored six goals in the three SJ Group 4 playoff games.

Defenders: Darrin Doyle, Shawnee; Bryce Wilson, St. Augustine; Robbie Finnegan, Washington Township;  Matt Velasquez, Mainland; Myles Hernandez, Absegami.

Defender of the Year: Shawnee senior Darrin Doyle was named Defender of the Year. Doyle helped the Renegades record nine shutouts.

Goalies: Cole Butler, Cherokee; Connor Brown, Kingsway; Joey Zubert, Pitman.

Goalie of the Year: Cherokee senior Cole Butler recorded eight shutouts and made 59 saves for the Olympic Conference American Division champions.

SECOND-TEAM

Forwards: Tyler Kunkel, Bordentown; Mario Jacobo, Cedar Creek, Cooper Macri, Cherry Hill West; Michael Stanwood, GCIT; Eamonn Sheehan, Haddon Township; Bradley Cooper, Seneca.

Midfielders: Kyle Wallace, Cherokee; Enzo Castillo, Deptford; Logan Cherkas, Eastern; Jaxon Weber, Schalick; Ryan Daniels, Seneca.

Defenders: Preston Louis, Bordentown; Eamon McStravick, Delran; Danny Bird, Delsea; Bayron Guardado, Lindenwold; Michael Nelson, Schalick.

Goalie: Tommy Bennett, Burlington Township.

THIRD-TEAM

Forwards: Dylan Platenecky, Cinnaminson; Jayden Maxwell, Rancocas Valley; Luke Price, Schalick; Riley Yearicks, West Deptford; Amadu Jalloh, Williamstown; Bryce Ayars, Woodstown.

Midfielders: Elias Moradel, Cedar Creek; Bobby McIlvaine, Haddon Township; Landon Wetzel, Lenape; David O’Donnell, Mainland; Alafy DePaula, Moorestown; Landon Heil, Washington Township.

Defenders: Ben Cameron, Audubon; Chukwudi Obasi, Camden Catholic; Henry Anthony, Cherry Hill East; Vaughn Worthing, Seneca; Elijah Ostrander, St. Augustine.

Goalies: Patrick Lluharty, Seneca; Matt Carr, St. Augustine.

Washington Township’s Ed McCusker was named the Coach of the Year. McCusker guided the Minutemen to a 20-2-2 record and championship of the Tri-County Royal Division. The Minutemen also captured the South Jersey Coaches Tournament championship and advanced to the South Jersey Group 4 semifinals before losing a 5-4 double overtime decision to eventual South Jersey champion Southern Regional.
