Patti Labelle At Caesars, Aug. 24-26

(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) – Long before Christinia, Mya, Pink, and Lil’ Kim hit the scene, it was Patti who was queen of Moulin Rouge! Philadelphia music legend Patti LaBelle returns to Atlantic City to rule the stage at Caesars Circus Maximus Theater for three performances, Friday, August 24 through Sunday, August 26, 2001.

In 2000, Patti entered her fifth decade at the trend-setting forefront of the music world, having enjoyed phenomenal success as a member of Patti LaBelle & the Bluebells in the 60s and as a Grammy Award winning solo artist in the 80s and 90s.

Patti LaBelle released her latest album, When A Woman Loves, on October 24, 2000. These renaissance project showcases Patti’s soulful, heartwarming vocals like never before. The first single released from the album was “Call Me Gone,” a funky calypso tune that has already been added to 26 of the 31 top formats in the country. Filled with sultry love songs, heart-wrenching ballads, and the smoking dance tracks like “Time Will,” this album gives voice to the heart of a woman reborn.

Honors and awards bestowed on Patti include the Essence Triumphant Spirit Award, Two Grammy Awards; one for Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance for Live! One Night Only, and one for Best R&B Vocal Performance for Burnin’, and seven NAACP Image Awards. She also has her own star on Hollywood’s “Walk of Fame.”
