Lehigh Defeats Camden 4-1

Lehigh Valley started the game scoring one run in the top of the first inning when shortstop Victor Gutierrez, who doubled to lead off the game, scored on rightfielder Chad Gambill`s sacrifice fly. The score remained 1-0 until the bottom of the fifth inning when Camden third baseman Brad Strauss doubled to center forcing in catcher Joe Goodwin to tie the game at one. The tie stood until Ortiz hit his fourth home run of the season over the leftfield wall off Camden starter Anthony Briggs. Despite loading the bases in the bottom of the ninth with no outs, the Riversharks could not score, as pinch hitter Guillermo Garcia hit into a game ending 1-2-3 double play.
