Vegas Hags Pigskin Picks - Week 8

Vegas Hags Pigskin Picks - Week 8 Can the Eagles extract revenge? Will the Raiders break the streak? Who do Eagles fans hate more, the Cowboys or the Giants? Get this weeks picks right here…

Jacksonville (plus 3) at Tennessee
The Titans look like they’re done, and Eddie George is hurt. Don’t buy it – this week, they win and hang in the hunt.
Titans 19 – Jaguars 16

Baltimore (plus 2) at Pittsburgh
Great defensive battle and it looks like the Steelers are for real. That said, take the Ravens as the Steelers will let down a bit after their big MNF win.
Ravens 16 - Steelers 13

Carolina (plus 10) at Miami
Carolina usually hangs tough, but the Dolphins will prevail in the end.
Dolphins 24 – Carolina 17

Dallas (plus 11) at New York
This should be an ugly game with two bad offenses. Unfortunately for the Eagles, the Cowboys can’t beat the G-men at home.
Giants 27 – Cowboys 17

New England (plus 3) at Atlanta
Two mediocre teams battle it out in Georgia – Yawn. Take the more experienced and home team Falcons.
Falcons 27 – Patriots 23

Tampa Bay (plus 5) at Green Bay
In the battle of the Bays, Green pulls it out at home as they rebound from the Vikings debacle. I can’t see Tampa sweeping this series.
Packers 20 – Bucs 17

Detroit (plus 9) at San Francisco
Can Detroit get it’s first win of the season this week? I would have said yes if the Niners hadn’t blown the lead against the Bears last week. Lions cover but continue with the goose egg.
49ers 30 – Lions 24

Cleveland (plus 4½) at Chicago
Good match-up of two surprising teams. In a toss-up game, I’ll take the Browns off a bye over the Bears who let down a bit this week after their miracle comeback.
Browns 23 – Bears 20

Indianapolis (minus 4) at Buffalo
Who knows which Colts team will show up, and the Edge is hurting. Still, the Colts should take this one in a shoot-out.
Colts 34 – Bills 28

Seattle (minus 2) at Washington
These two teams are tough to figure out. The Skins looked great last week and seem to be improving, but they still are not very good. Seattle is so inconsistent. I’ll go with the Hawks and the better defense.
Seahawks 27 – Redskins 20

Kansas City (plus 5½) at San Diego
Is San Diego for real? Are the Chiefs really this bad? This will be a good barometer for both. This could be a major upset, as the Chiefs lost a close one and the Chargers had an emotional win.
Chiefs 24 – Chargers 23

New York Jets (plus 6½) at New Orleans
The Saints are another team coming off of an emotional, come from behind win last week. That could mean a letdown, but the Jets stink.
Saints 27 – Jets 23

Philadelphia (minus 7) at Arizona
REVENGE! The Eagles will be out for blood and to prove that the Raiders game was a fluke (it wasn’t – their offense needs work). No 4th quarter let down, here.
Eagles 31 – Cardinals 20

Oakland (minus 5½) at Denver
Great MNF game. The Broncos have owned the Raiders the last few years, but the Raiders are clearly the better team at this point. As Eagles fans know, streaks are made to be broken.
Raiders 30 – Broncos 27

Record:
Last week – straight up: 7-7,
Against the spread: 6-8
Year to Date - straight up: 56-41,
Against the spread: 45-52
