Police Search for Hit and Run Driver Pennsauken police are looking for help in finding the driver involved in a serious hit and run accident Friday evening. A 13-year-old boy was struck while riding his bicycle, and the collision sent the teen – and his bike – flying into the air.

It happened at 7:30 on Friday night, at the corner of Haddonfield Road and Osler Avenue in front of the Pennsauken Country Club. At the family's request, police are not releasing the victim's name, but his condition is improving.

Witnesses say that the boy was riding north on the center line of the busy four-lane road when he turned in front of a car heading north.

Greg Delaney/WITNESS: "He was thrown from the bike approximately 20-25 feet in the air, and landed on his back right in the middle of Haddonfield Road. It was a horror story, you can't explain it, it happened so fast. You just didn't expect this to be happening." Delaney says the bike then crashed into his car. Meanwhile, the car that hit the boy left the scene. Delaney says the victim was unconscious at first, and then screaming in pain. He was rushed to Cooper Hospital where his condition has been upgraded from critical to serious. Police are asking for the public's help to find the driver.

Ptl. Gerald Henkel/PENNSAUKEN P.D.: "The car we're looking for is described as a late 90s Geo Prism, white in color. It should have extensive damage to the front end on the driver's side. The fender should be missing. "All the witnesses' accounts are that the driver was in his early 20s or late teens, a white or hispanic male with brown colored hair."

The car in question is also missing a hub cap, and had one of the newer blue, yellow and white Pennsylvania tags. Anyone with information should call the Pennsauken Police Department at (856) 488-0080.
