Pennsauken Attacker Pleads Guilty A South Jersey man pleaded guilty Tuesday to burglary and the attempted murder of his 9-year-old neighbor.

Police said that Guy Greenday, 34, attacked the girl on July 4 in her Pennsauken, N.J., home.

Krysta Wilbanks suffered severe head injuries. According to authorities, Greenday broke into the girl's home and repeatedly hit her on the head with a metal pipe.

In court Tuesday, Greenday confessed that while trying to rob the girl's home, he surprised the sleeping 9-year-old girl in the living room. He said that he then forced her into her basement, where she fought and hollered.

Camden County Assistant Prosecutor Donna Spinosi questioned Greenday. Greenday told the prosecutor that he struck Krysta repeatedly and that there was a lot of blood. He also admitted he knew that the girl had been severely injured.

Krysta suffered severe head injuries and she was hospitalized for nearly a week.

She has since celebrated her 10th birthday. Now, she has improved significantly, but she is still facing more possible reconstructive surgery.

"At least he's in jail. That's all that matters to me. That he's in jail. And he's going to be in jail a very long time," Krysta said.

For pleading guilty to burglary and attempted murder, Greenday will get a 25-year prison term when he is sentenced in January. He must serve more than 21 years before he is eligible for parole. The victim's family is still angry.

"I don't feel that he's faced enough time. Then again, what mother would ever feel that?" Karen Wilbank asked.

"I'd like to see a little more remorse from him, 'cause he just seemed like we were wasting his time," said Louis Ortiz, Krysta's father.

The family says Krysta is moving on with her life.

"She'll recover -- physically, emotionally. That's to be seen. She's a strong child. And she has a lot of support in the family," said Krysta's aunt, Mary Lou Ortiz.

Greenday's mother told Blunt that she was very angry at what her son did and she was very remorseful for her son.
