MADD is Mad in Camden

The NBC 10 Investigators recently went undercover and caught underage drinkers right on tape, and now, there's a new push to crackdown on the pre-concert partying.
Frank Winters is the New Jersey State Chairman of Mothers against Drunk Driving (MADD), and also the police chief of Clayton, N.J.
He had a strong reaction to what the NBC 10 investigators uncovered.
Winters watched as our hidden cameras caught a 19-year-old girl funneling a beer with her friends right out in the open before a recent concert at the Tweeter Center.
And that's not all our undercover team found. They were asked if they wanted to buy drugs not once, but twice.
So, Winters wants MADD to meet with the Camden Police Department and city council to try to put a stop to the partying.
Camden police were on the scene before the concert. The police told NBC 10 that this is not an issue of police incompetence, but that of the 45 officers at that event, only 8 were available for parking-lot enforcement when NBC 10 walked through the parking lots.
They said that once traffic is under control, more officers work the parking lots.
The Tweeter Center wouldn't comment for this report, but last week it told NBC 10 they do care about safety in the parking lots but the responsibility lies with lot owners and the police department.
While many of the teens seen on camera told us they were underage drinkers, we do need to point out that not everyone you saw was drinking illegally.
And there is a sign posted prohibiting the public consumption of alcohol in the parking lot.
