Close of Biz: Getting Through the Work Week
As the business world continues to adjust to new operating conditions, some executives who are currently working from home may have even more on their plate than prior to the pandemic.
This is one of the reasons why we wanted them to share what they do to relax after long work days, their favorite book and what the most gratifying part of their job is, which makes those long weeks worth it.

Good to Great by Jim Collins. The principles and message in this book are extremely prevalent in how we live our daily lives, wake up in the morning and how we attack our day. Good is the enemy of great.

What is your favorite way to unwind after a busy week?

There is nothing more enjoyable than playing golf on a Friday afternoon, followed by getting pizza with the family to end the week. It’s Groundhog Day, but I wouldn’t want it any other way.

After a busy week, I love to get in my garden to plant, seed and weed. I enjoy the beautiful end result of all my hard work.

Sit in the backyard at the fire pit with a drink or two and recap the week, take notes on what needs to be done for the following week and then mindlessly read the news, a book or listen to an audio book.

The variety of projects I get to work on that have a positive impact on South Jersey. One day I could be working on a shuttle bus project that helps people get to work and the next day I am helping a town make it safer for kids to bike and walk to school.
