A look at the All-South Jersey Soccer players
The All-South Jersey soccer players were honored earlier this month by the South Jersey Soccer Coaches Association. We looked at the girls’ team last week and here are the boys’ all-South Jersey teams. A player of the year was also named for each of the positions.

FIRST TEAM

Forwards: Matt Conger, Sr., Shawnee; Josh Pereira, Sr. Cinnaminson; Drew Roskos, Jr. Delran (POY); Graham Looram, Sr. Haddon Township; Dean Martin, Sr., Kingsway.

POY: Drew Roskos, Jr. Delran. Roskos has been named the state Player of the Year for the past two seasons by NJ.com. This season he helped lead Delran to its second straight state Group 2 championship. Roskos scored 25 goals and had five assists. He had at least one goal in each of Delran’s six playoff wins, including the score in the Bears’ 1-0 state Group 2 championship victory over Ramsey.

Midfielders: Luke Chatten, Sr. Haddon Township (POY); Christopher Meder, Sr. Cherokee; Nikolas Grello, Jr. Delran; Carter Bailey, Jr. Hammonton; Eli Uray, Sr. Shawnee.

POY: Luke Chatten, Sr. Haddon Township. Chatten helped lead the Hawks to four titles – the Colonial Conference Liberty Division, the South Jersey Coaches Association championship, the South Jersey Group 1 and state Group 1 titles. He had 29 goals and 24 assists. Chatten will continue his education and soccer career in Delaware.

Defenders: Michael Papi, Sr. Delran; Taj Turner, Sr. Lower Cape May; Timmy Hall, Sr. Sterling; Jonathan Swain, Sr. Rancocas Valley; Aidan McMillan, Sr. Cherry Hill West (POY).

POY: Aidan McMillan, Sr. Cherry Hill West. McMillan was a key performer for a Cherry Hill West team that shared the Olympic Conference National Division title with Paul VI and won the South Jersey Group 3 championship. He helped West record 10 shutouts. McMillan also scored one goal.

Goalies: Brady Bartletta, Sr. Rancocas Valley (POY); Cole Johnston, Sr. Haddon Township.

POY Brady Bartletta, Sr. Rancocas Valley. Bartletta helped lead Rancocas Valley to a 15-4-2 record and into the South Jersey Group 4 championship game, where the Red Devils lost to eventual state champion Cherokee, 1-0. With Barletta leading the way, Rancocas Valley had 14 shutouts.

SECOND TEAM

Forwards: Liam Higgins, Sr. Bishop Eustace; Peter Graffeo, Sr. Cherry Hill West; Nathan Biersbach, Sr. Egg Harbor Township; Savien Castro, Sr. Washington Township; Eddy Rivera, Sr. Rancocas Valley.

Midfielders: Luke Wordelmann, Sr. Kingsway; Gabe Faust, Jr. Cherry Hill West; Jason Angel, Sr. Cumberland; Julien Delorenzo, Sr. Bordentown; Justin Ceccanecchio, Jr. St. Augustine.

Defenders: Konnor Reilly, Sr. Delsea; Lucas Fryc, Sr. Bordentown; Landon Eaton, Sr. Williamstown; Zeke Cirelli, Sr. Shawnee; Colin McCarthy, Jr. Haddon Township.

Goalies: Leo Orefice, Jr. Cherry Hill West; Jonah Bierig, Jr. Moorestown Friends.

THIRD TEAM

Forwards: Chris Krall, Sr. Florence; Franklyn Karngbaye, Jr. Willingboro; Miguel Graterol, Sr. Cherokee; Joshua Moreland, Sr. Sterling; Jimmy Kane, Sr. Wildwood.

Midfielders: Mason Quinton, Jr. West Deptford; Luke Costantino, Sr. Schalick; Scott Sweeney, Sr. Rancocas Valley; Steven Berrodin, Sr. Middle Township; Aidan Quinn-Wright, Sr. Cinnaminson.

Defenders: Lucas Lainez, Sr. Egg Harbor Township; Trey Shaw, Sr. Cherry Hill East; Zach Webb, Sr. Kingsway; Ruben Dominguez, Sr. Penns Grove; Paolo Re, Sr. Glassboro.

Goalies: Jon Martin, Sr. Burlington Township; Kyle Cahill, Sr. Pennsville.

The Coach of the Year was George Rhea of Penns Grove. Rhea guided the Red Devils to a 14-4-1 record and co-championship of the Tri-County Diamond Division. Penns Grove advanced to the SJ Group 1 semifinal before falling 1-0 to Glassboro, the team it shared the Diamond Division title with.
