South Jersey Group 5 quarterfinal

Triton enters the postseason with a six-game winning streak after last week’s 35-0 victory over Deptford. Ocean City is coming off a 20-17 win over Cedar Creek, the team many consider one of the favorites in South Jersey Group 3.

South Jersey Group 2 quarterfinal
(6) Overbrook (6-3) at (3) Delran (8-1), noon
Delran’s loss was 22-10 to unbeaten Burlington Township. Quarterback Vinny Sacca has been a big dual threat with 1,218 yards passing and14 TDs, along with 502 yards rushing and nine touchdowns. Overbrook will rely on the running of junior Axcel Bailey, who has rushed for 1,157 yards and 16 touchdowns.

South Jersey Group 2 quarterfinal
(7) Camden Eastside (3-5) at (2) West Deptford (8-1), noon
The records suggest this could be a blowout, but Eastside has played an extremely difficult schedule, which consisted of Group 3, four and five opponents. Quarterback Naheem Dale has thrown for 1,005 yards and nine touchdowns, West Deptford’s only loss was 29-14 to Haddonfield, which happens to be the No. 1 seed in South Jersey Group 2. Eagles junior Zamir Davis has rushed for 974 yards and 14 touchdowns and stopping the West Deptford ground game will be a key for Eastside.
